Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Autodrome Duathlon?

The event has been designed to be a fast-paced duathlon taking place on a fantastic motor racing circuit to be used as an Olympic training venue in 2012.

How many competitors will enter the race?

This is the inaugural Autodrome Ten so we really don't know but we hope that aproximately 800 will join us

When should I enter?

Please don’t leave it too late. Please enter as early as possible. Closing date for the entry form entrants will be Friday 17th September, online entrants Wednesday 22nd September 2010.

How do I apply?

Enter online by clicking the link on the right or by downloading an entry form on the right of this page

Age Limit?

Runners must be 17 or over.

Race Packs

Will be mailed out on Monday 6th September.

I've received my confirmation email but not my race number

Wait until Monday 13th September and if your pack hasn’t arrived, contact us and we will re-issue and cancel the other one.

Lost number?

Contact us immediately – info@autodromerace.co.uk

Your Address

Competitors often say that they've changed address since entering or that they live in a huge block of flats and their post goes missing. Why not get your number sent to your workplace if that is more secure?

If you change address after entering but before the info has been sent out, please tell us otherwise the info and number will go to the wrong address.

How fit do you need to be?

Autodrome Duathlon is as hard as you want to make it. It might be serious for those at the front but for most, this should be an achieveable duathlon given the course. You should be fit enough to run at least 6 miles without stopping and be able to cover the distance on the bike.

What time should I arrive at the venue?

The race starts at 11:00am. You should arrive no later than 10:00am. This will leave enough time to park and allows you enough time to use the loos etc.

Parking

Follow the directions to the car park. There are plenty of spaces at the venue and all are close to the start / finish area.

Helmets

You MUST wear a helmet as you will not be allowed to compete without one.

Results & Prizes

Results will be recorded and posted on the website as soon as possible after the event. Prizes are awarded on the day.

Errors

Unfortunately there are sometimes errors in the results; sometimes our fault, sometimes yours, e.g. a competitor might be wearing someone else's number by mistake or there's been a human error inputting the data. If you feel that there is an error with your result, please contact us NO LATER than 5pm Tuesday, 28th September. Results will then be deemed final.

Ill or Injured?

You should not compete if ill or injured for your own safety. You cannot give your number to someone else in your place. This is for insurance reasons.

Refunds and Deferrals

Like all events, entry fees are used to hire land, equipment etc. Therefore, we do not issue refunds after entry. Entries cannot be deferred to the following year.
