Get ready for some SUPER FAST fun
The inugural Autodrome Duathlon takes place on the Bedford Autodrome motor racing circuit. Now owned by ex-Formula 1 driver Jonathan Palmer, the circuit is used daily for corporate motor racing days so expect the pace to be fast and furious.
The circuit has been selected as an official training site for the London 2012 Olympics. The venue is attracting road cycling teams training for the London Olympics with over 13 national teams having expressed an interest in using the Bedford area (including the autodrome) for their Olympic preparations.
Our 5k runs will take place on the circuits perimeter roads while the motor racing track will host the 40k bike ride. The course is flat throughout and the long straights and sweeping bends will ensure that this event will be a high speed blast.
The event is ideally located 10 miles north of Bedford town centre and 20 miles east of Northampton with easy access from nearby motorways.
